Set in a beautiful valley on the edge of Doi Suthep National Park, Patara Elephant Farm was founded in 2000 to operate an elephant breeding program and better the lives of these majestic creatures. I
n this tour, experience the life of an elephant owner as you learn how to approach elephants in the bush, unchain, feed and bathe them.
Under the careful guidance of the mahout, enjoy an exhilarating 1-hour trek through the paddy fields on the back of your elephant. Stopping at a waterfall, tuck into a scrumptious picnic lunch against the backdrop of the cascading waters. Ride back to the farm and bid goodbye to your pachyderm friend before returning to Chiang Mai.
